William Henry Gehling III

William Henry Gehling, III, 58, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at his home in Callahan.
Mr. Gehling was born in Massachusetts and lived in California, England and Nevada before moving to Jacksonville 34 years ago. He was a member of the Callahan Cruisers of North Florida, loved cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, avid memorabilia collector and was very artistic. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren and cruising around in his Hum V. He was a plumber by trade for over 20 years before becoming a School Guardian with Allied Universal Security at the Kip VOICE Academy.
Mr. Gehling was preceded in death by his parents: William H. Gehling, Jr. and Geraldine Gehling; brother: Glenn Marcaurelle and sister Diane Marcaurelle. He is survived by his wife: Katina Gehling; 2 daughters: Britanie Weideman (John) and Megan Franks (Allen); 6 sisters: Michelle Hanley (Jason), Melissa Premo (Gary), Heidi Adams, Doreen Lisa Marcaurelle, Debbie Marcaurelle Moses and Wendy Gould; 7 brothers: Shawn Gehling (Becky), Matt Gehling (Erica), Timothy Gehling (Lisa), Chris Marcaurelle, David Marcaurelle, Steven Baxter and Stewart Baxter (Julianne); 3 grandchildren: Ava & Kayden Franks and Liam Weideman (On the way in April) and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 10, 2025 at the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street (Building C) with Chaplain Gerald Wollit officiating.
His family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
