William S. "Bill" Glahn, 94, of Cold Spring, KY, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. Bill was born February 12, 1930, in Alexandria, KY. He was a former elder at the Chapel of Praise, Falmouth KY. When he met Carolyn, he became an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cold Spring, KY and did a lot of work on the new building. Bill was a current member of the Licking Valley Baptist Church, Alexandria, KY, where he was an usher and did anything he could do on workdays. He worked many years as a general labor foreman for Turner Construction Company. Eventually he started his own business with his son Billy. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Glahn (nee Arthur); parents, Paul Jacob and Edna Louise (nee Smith) Glahn; brothers: Raymond Glahn, Kenny Glahn, Jerry Glahn, Ervin Glahn, Donald Glahn, Keith Glahn; sisters, Norma Crouch and Dorothy Mae Glahn. Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carolyn Sue Works\Glahn (nee Clark); children: Sharon (Steve) Paynter, Vicki Glahn, Bill (Anita) Glahn, Mike Glahn and Greg (Sandy) Glahn; stepchildren: Randy (Shelly) Works, Rob (Shelly) Works and Kathy Massella; sister, Gladys Ruf; grandchildren: Tammi (Aaron) Monday, Shari (Jon) Lonaker, Amy (Dan) Blades, Mike (Ashley) Glahn and Greg (Tami) Glahn; step grandchildren: Kaelyn Faith Massella, Brandon (Cagney) Works, Cory (Chelsea) Works, Matt (Candice) Yelton and Landon Massella. Twenty-two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren due in January. Visitation 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, December 30, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment in the Alexandria Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Licking Valley Baptist Church, 7779 Licking Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001.
