William "Bill" David Graves Sr., age 83, passed away on September 25, 2025 in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma. Bill was born on April 13, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to Wanda Mae Kellogg. On September 29, 1962, Bill married the love of his life, Nancy Lou (Baker) Graves, and together they shared more than 61 years of marriage before her passing on March 25, 2024. Their life together was filled with adventure, laughter, and a deep devotion to family. Bill loved her more than anything. Bill built his career working as a carpenter, truck driver, and painter. Known for his strong work ethic and honest character, he lived by the words he often repeated: "Be honest, pay your bills." Outside of work, Bill enjoyed the outdoors and time with family. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling with Nancy, and cheering at NASCAR races and football games. Camping trips, cookouts, and family travels filled his life with joy, and he was happiest when surrounded by loved ones. Bill was an exceptional cook whose meals were always enjoyed and remembered. Christmases at the Graves home were especially cherished, complete with warmth, tradition, and Bill's, sometimes ornery spirit. Above all, Bill will be remembered as a straight-up, kind man who valued family, honesty, and simple pleasures in life. His legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom will carry on through all who knew him. Bill is survived by his Son, William David Graves, Jr. and wife Denise; Daughters, Elizabeth Wylie, Patricia Vineyard; 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lou Graves; Mother, Wanda Mae Kellogg; and his siblings. There are no services currently for Bill. Cremation services were under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. If you would like to send your condolences to the family, you may do so at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com
