William Joseph Haubner

William (Bill) Joseph Haubner, 84, of California, KY passed away peacefully and was welcomed into God's Garden of everlasting life on November 10, 2025 at his home where he was born and raised. Bill was born on October 22, 1941 to his late parents, Joseph and Ann (nee Tischner) Haubner in California, Kentucky.
Bill never married or had children but had many children that looked up to him – from his siblings, his nieces and nephews to his great nieces and nephews and all the neighbor children throughout the years. He was a 75-year member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in California, Kentucky. He lived a simple life as a farmer, plasterer and a skilled tradesman to any job that needed done. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was especially proud of the rock facing work on the Sts. Peter and Paul Church entrance tower and altar.
Bill was a brother, a brother-in-law, a son, an uncle, a good neighbor, a mentor and a friend. He was a devout Catholic – and spent every morning and evening saying his rosary. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Sharon King, Ruth See, Robert (Bob) Haubner and Ronald (Ron) Haubner. Bill is survived by sisters Sandy Zschau and Ethel Huck along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family, friends and neighbors who looked up to Bill, a devoted Catholic and who would do anything for anyone. Bill will be missed by so many, but he said many times that he had a great life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 2162 California Crossroads, California, KY 41007 from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
