William Allen Heinrich, 65, of Battle Creek, MI passed away on Dec 4, 2024, at his residence in Battle Creek.
Born on May 18, 1959, in Battle Creek, Bill was adopted by Charles and JoAnne Heinrich almost immediately, much to their joy.
Bill had the pleasure and honor of knowing several loves throughout his life, bearing him five children.
Bill is known for his time working numerous careers, including (but not limited to) his time in the United States Air Force, City of Battle Creek Fire Department, Life Care Ambulance, Wright's Tree Service, and Franklin Iron & Metal. He is also known for "encouraging" his children to experience things like frog legs, the show COPS, and the music of Doug Stone. Their horizons were not broadened by this effort (but very much appreciated).
Bill graduated from Lakeview High School in 1977 in Battle Creek, much to the delight and relief of the staff.
Bill is survived by his children, William (Sharlene), Michael (Mandy), Charles (Leona), Heather, and Nathaniel (fiancée, Ashley); grandchildren Malachi (Alysha), Austin, Jacob, Cheyenne, Mitchell, Edward, and Rowanna; great-grandchildren Alaya, Jaylen, and Dylan; and his sister Beth.
Bill is best remembered by a signature written in his High School yearbook: "BILL'S CRAZY BUT SWEET." Both family and friends can confirm that assessment, whether they find it endearing, concerning, or both.
Visitation service will be held at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service in Battle Creek, MI on December 18, 2024, from 11am to 1pm.
Committal service will occur at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI on December 18, 2024, at 2pm.
A celebration of life will occur at Woodland Church in Battle Creek following the committal service at 3pm.
Arrangements entrusted to the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 269-788-9800. www.baxterfuneral.com.
