William J. Hirschoff, 75, of Windsor, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Hirschoff; children, Peterallen (Susette) Hirschoff, Joseph (Jeanette) Hirschoff, Kelly (Eddie Pollack) Hirschoff, Antoinette (Timothy) McMyne, and Michael (Chelsea) Ferraro; grandchildren, Elena, Hazel, Charleigh, and Logan Hirschoff, Megan and Matthew McMyne, and Pamela, A.J., Zander, and Rylynn Ferraro; and great-grandchildren, Selena and Everleigh.
William was predeceased by his first wife, Janice R. Hirschoff; parents, Herbert and Gertrude Hirschoff; and sisters, Patricia and Ruth Hirschoff.
A warm and welcoming soul, and most affectionately known as Bill, had a kind heart and a deep love for his family and life long friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was deployed to Thailand while serving his country in the United Sates Air Force. Then he started a career at the US Postal Service where he later retired after 30 years of service. He loved the outdoors, spending as much time as possible hunting, fishing, and target shooting. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and a familiar face at USPS clam bakes; never missing a chance to enjoy clams and good company. Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. at Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY 13901. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Inurment will take place at Floral Park Cemetery on Wednesday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of life, location to be announced following interment.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in William's memory to American Diabetes Association or the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group.
