William Boy Hodge, Sr. passed away August 20, 2025, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach. He was 88 years old.
Bill was born February 8, 1937, in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Arthur William Hodge, Sr. and Mary Boy Hodge and moved to Vero Beach in the early 1970's. He attended Bucknell University.
He worked many years as a Truck Broker for Hodge Trucking Company and then later for Lucas Waterproofing in Vero Beach.
Mr. Hodge was a member of First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach. He was a member of the Men's Church Choir and served as President of his Sunday School Class.
He was survived by his daughter, Victoria Hodge Bass (David); son, William B. Hodge, Jr.; extended family, Carey M. Hodge and Sophia Reyes; grandchildren, Hunter Russell Wynn (Danielle), William B. Hodge, III (Alissa), Bryce Edward Bass, Mason Bass Bird (Trevor), Reid William Bass (Allie), and Kerry Dylan Reyes; great-grandchildren, Emory Taylor Wynn and Paisley Russell Wynn; brother, Arthur W. Hodge; along with two sisters-in-law, Brenda H. Hodge and Judy E. Hodge.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Iris Brown Hodge; daughter, Angela Marie Hidge; granddaughter, Taylor Lauren Wynn; father-in-law, Roy Russell Brown; mother-in-law, Iris Corum Brown; and brother, Thomas A. Hodge.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA & Hospice Foundation, 920 37th Place, #101, Vero Beach, FL 32960 or First Methodist Church, 1750 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
