William Horst Obituary

Published by Decker-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 10, 2020.
William Taylor Horst of Hatboro PA passed away Thursday morning Dec 10th, 2020 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, in the company of his wife Candy and son Bill Jr. He was 66 years old. He will be missed dearly by his wife Candy(Memis), his 3 children Bill Jr and wife Helene, his son Tony and wife Kim, and his daughter Jeana, his 6 grandchildren Koen, John, Katie, Kevon, Klaire and Ryan, his brother Harold, his sister Janet and husband Tom and their family, his brother in law Tony Memis and wife Laurie and their children Devon, Krysta and Julian, and all of his extended family, neighbors and friends. Bill worked as a welder at a tool company, but had many useful skills with which he worked many jobs throughout his life. He played many sports but loved baseball the most. He was a boy scout in his early life and shared these skills and memories with his 2 grandsons while attending their boy scout meetings. He was an outstanding gardener and passed on this knowledge that he learned from his father to his sons. He always had a love for nature and all animals. This love for animals he shared with his daughter. He enjoyed coaching all 3 of his children and his nephew in baseball, and coached several teams with his brother. His love for religion and the Bible he shared with his sister. He loved bowling and shared this every week with his wife. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, gardening, watching sports, playing cards, cooking holiday meals, all family gatherings and reading the Bible. He loved his wife dearly, his children unconditionally, his grandchildren with all his heart, and his entire extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern PA. A cure for this disease would be his single wish if ever granted.

Candy and the Horst family,

Glen and I are heartbroken for you. In the short time we bowled together we saw the kind and loving relationship the two of you had. It is a blessing to cherish.

I will always remember the Monday evening he dropped you off at the front door while I was waiting for Glen. He was about to pull away when you opened the door again and leaned in for one more kiss. He laughed and said something like, I'm only parking, but he smiled with affection as we teased the two of you.

We are praying for God's tender mercies and peace for you and your family. Praying you draw strength from one another as He holds you in His everlasting arms. In your sorrow remember your Hope and the great reunion believers are promised, just imagine if you can what Bill is experiencing. He is in the presence of angels. beholding the face of God. One day you will be together and there will be no more tears. Until then please know you are not forgotten, you have friends thinking of you and praying for you.

Both Fred and I are so very sad to hear of this. We've bowled with Bill and Candy for years, until recently, and had many good times together. Bill and Candy had such a beautiful relationship and I hope those memories will be a blessing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

Uncle Bill you will be so missed. In fact you already are. What am I going to do without talking to you. You were always there for me and I will always be thankful for that. You have just left us so early and it is just uncalled for. Going to work I always looked forward to seeing that smile, joking around and becoming such close friends and now what. You have left us and I know your daughter Jeana is missing you dearly. Your whole family is missing you. and they will for a long time. Please R.I.P. Now that you have gone home to be with GOD look over the ones you love and keep them safe. LOVE YOU UNCLE BILL
