Seminole, OK resident William “Howard” Allen Jr. passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 in Oklahoma City at the age of 74. He was born on May 12, 1951 in Seminole to William Howard Allen Sr. and Sybil (Goss) Allen. Howard was a 1969 graduate of Seminole High School. He married Annelt Davis on March 27, 1998 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Howard enjoyed watching OU football and girls softball. He collected fireman memorabilia. He loved fishing and listening to rock and roll music with Dennis. Howard retired from his career as Fire Chief at Seminole Fire Department.
Howard is survived by his wife of 27 years, Annelt Allen; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Jessica Allen and Brent and Melanie Allen; two daughters, Amy Ballagh and Ginger and Ross Bibee; grandchildren, Brooklin Brunson, Austin Swaim, Rylan and Kailey Bibee, Gavin Ballagh, Gia Ballagh, Gannon Ballagh, Gemma Ballagh, Maeleigh Allen, Finley Allen, Caelee Allen, Weston Allen and Landon Allen; great grandchildren, Navy Brunson and Jack Brunson and many other family and friends.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sybil Allen; sister, Sharon Allen and his uncle and aunt Pat and Lorene Stafford.
A Celebration of Howard’s Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK. Roy Boydstun will be officiating.
