William Allen Hurlbut Jr., 60, of Cedar Rapids, went missing on July 25, 2025, and was later found deceased on August 16, 2025, in Linn County, Iowa.

William was born October 3, 1964, in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late William Allen Hurlbut Sr. and Carol Rose (Conrad) Jensen.
He worked for many years as a truck driver in the Cedar Rapids area. William’s strong faith was an important part of his life, and he frequently attended services at River of Life Church in Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Hurlbut of Casper, Wyoming; his mother and stepfather, Carol and Marvin Jensen of Crescent, Iowa; two sisters, Denise Jensen of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Michelle (Scott) Rydberg of Bellevue, Nebraska; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
