Celebration of life for William "Bill" Ingram age 50, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, 201 West Grand Avenue, Frederick, Oklahoma, with Mike Haverland and Michael Logan officiating. Services are under the direction of Jackson Funeral of Frederick. Sheriff Bill passed away Saturday evening, June 15, 2024, at the O.U. Medical Center, in Oklahoma City from the result of a motorcycle accident.
Visitation will be on Friday evening, June 21. 2024, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 PM., at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 W. Gladstone Avenue, Frederick, Oklahoma.
William Leonard "Bill" Ingram was born May 30, 1974, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Leonard Arthur and Gail (Corbin) Ingram. He attended Harrah Public School, graduating from Harrah High School with the Class of 1992. He was an over the road truck driver for many years. He later worked as a reserve police officer in Union City, before attending the Cleet Academy and working full-time as a Canine Handler. On May 11, 2010, he and Jessica Leigh-An Connell were united in marriage in Branson, Missouri. Bill, Jessica and Wyatt moved to Frederick in January 2014, where Bill went to work for the Frederick Police Department as sergeant. He later transferred to Tillman County Sheriff's Department as deputy, prior to being elected, Tillman County Sheriff on January 4, 2021. He was presently serving as Tillman County Sheriff, at the time of his death.
Bill enjoyed target and skeet shooting and was an avid motorcycle rider. He loved playing video games with his son, Wyatt; one of Bill and Jessica's pastimes, was going thrifting. Bill had a servant's heart! He would stop and help anyone in need and would give his last nickel to help anyone. One of his favorite desserts was his Grandma Jim's Banana Cake. Bill was a computer wiz and was an outstanding photographer. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in Valley of Fort Worth, Texas
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Ingram; a son, Wyatt Ingram; his parents, Leonard and Gail Ingram of Harrah, Oklahoma; his in-laws, Sheila and Steve Leach of Cleburne, Texas; two sisters, Linda Oliver and her husband Marvin of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Kay Ingram of Harrah, Oklahoma; a niece and two nephews, Mikaela Dixon, Wyatt Oliver, and Daniel Oliver all of Edmond, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Jim Corbin, and James and Lucille Towery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 10776, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73140-1776, in memory of Sheriff William "Bill" Ingram.
