William Janes Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory on Apr. 16, 2022.
William L. "Bill" Janes, 57, of Anderson, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2022. He was born on September 26, 1964 to Carole "Jean" Elmore in Anderson.
Bill graduated from Anderson High School in 1984. He attended Ivy Tech where he studied welding, which led to a career in metal fabrication.
Bill enjoyed going to Anderson Speedway, attending monster truck events, and tinkering on motors. He was a "Mr. Fix-It", always willing to help anyone repair things. When Bill and his brother Tony were younger, they detasseled corn and used the money to buy their first welder. He was an automotive enthusiast and liked NASCAR, with Dale Earnhardt, Sr. being his favorite driver. Bill was an avid fan of Colts football and IU basketball. He also enjoyed camping with family. He will be fondly remembered for bringing his corn pudding and sugar cream pie to family gatherings.
Bill was big-hearted, happy-go-lucky, never had enough tools, and was always willing to help.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Elmore, his grandparents, Forrest and Alverta Todd, and his sister, Tina Elmore.
Bill is survived by his siblings, Connie Neal and family, Tony Elmore and family, Darcey (Anne) Elmore and family, and Joni (Dennis) Scott and family.
Bill will be greatly missed by his loving family, many friends, and "Tigger".
Services will be on Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with visitation from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. www.loosecares.com.
