William Katt Obituary
April 6, 1950 - January 22, 2026
William "Bill" Herbert Katt, Jr., 75, of Kenosha, passed away January 22, 2026. He will be greatly missed by those who called him friend, brother, uncle, husband, dad, or "Big Fella."
Bill was born on April 6, 1950, in Racine. He graduated from Case High School, earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an MBA from Marquette University.
He enjoyed 52 wonderful years of marriage to his high school sweetheart Diane. When they weren't traveling the world, he spent his time working part-time at a CPA firm, golfing, playing cards and games, watching the stock market and hanging out with family and friends.
His passion for helping people led to multiple years serving on the boards of the ELCA Outreach Center and Hospice Alliance.
Bill is survived by his wife, Diane nee Hamm; son, Ryan (Rachael); daughter, Kendra (Mark, Emily, Addison); sister, Sharon (Keith); sister-in-law, Evelyn and numerous nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Sr. and Rose, and brother, Ron.
Memorial donations may be made to ELCA Outreach Center or Hospice Alliance.

Diane, so very sad to hear about Bill. I remember him so well as having worked at Snap-On with my husband Ron and other great guys. Enjoyed seeing you that time at Andrea´s where you were working.
My prayers are with you and your family. Will plan to attend the Celebration of Life.

Diane, you don't know me, but I am the bystander who tried to help. The only solace I can offer you is the fact that from the moment I got into his car to when they got him into the ambulance, I didn't leave his side. I can promise you that he wasn't alone, and wasn't in pain. My heart goes out to you and your entire family.
