William (Bill) Vance Keith passed away peacefully at home on January 6th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bill was born on October 3, 1947, in LaGrange, GA. He enjoyed careers with both Sears, Roebuck & Co., and Daimler Freightliner.
As an Army veteran, he proudly served his country in the Vietnam conflict. Throughout the years, he maintained lasting friendships with other veterans and enjoyed time spent at VFW Post 5255 in Lawrenceville, GA. He enjoyed the meetings at the VA Center with fellow vets.
Bill was a man of faith. His strong belief and trust in a higher power guided him throughout his life. In living his faith, he was always eager to lend a hand or kind word to anyone in need. He was a loyal friend and faithful to his family.
Bill loved gardening, trips to Lake Hartwell and over the years, the companionship of his sweet dogs. He cherished the friendship of so many neighbors and friends!
Left behind is his beloved wife of 35 years, Cindy along with his stepchildren, Richard Barron and Julie Barron, his sister, Rosalyn Atkins and nephew, Jason Atkins and countless family and friends.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday January 20th at 2:00 pm at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, Lawrenceville, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you please consider a donation in Bill's name to his favorite charitable organization, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate/prospects-tssl.html?frequency_selected=1&sc_icid=header-btn-donate-now

Billy and I grew up together and he was a wonderful friend. We had so much fun growing up in the country!! After HS, we went in opposite direction. I remember writing to him in Vietnam!!! He was a true hero for our country!! Billy was indeed a blessing in friendship! May he rest in Peace!

We always enjoyed the times spent with Bill and Cindy going to dinner and movies. Bill was a very special friend & actually considered a brother. We always remembered the love he had for Cindy. He will be missed terribly. With our deepest sympathy. Tim & Jackie Phillips
