William Harley Kempter-the man, the myth, the legend. He is also known AS: DAD, GRANDPA, UNCLE, BROTHER, AND a true friend. He didn't beat around the bush either. If you asked him for advice or his opinion, he would always give it to you straight- no games and no sugar coating. He would follow up with "I'm not going to tell you what you want to hear, but what you need." He was a type of man to never leave your side and would do anything to help you succeed.
Harley's favorite pastimes included: Family TIME, GOLF, FISHING, UMPIRING little league, TENNIS, VOLLEYBALL, COOKING, GRILLING and of course a fun and slightly competitive game of wiffle ball. Harley was very involved in serving the communities. He lived as a police officer for over 10 years in upper Dublin township and Quarryville Borough. He served his country as Sgt. Kempter for 6 years In The U.S. Army. He then finished his career of 20 plus years as a General Manager AT MV Transportation.
Harley is survived by his children; Caryn (Shawn), LISA, DANNY, Matthew (Sara); stepchildren Amy (Tom), Danny (Lisa) and Kelli. He was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Dad pretty much enjoyed anything that involved the 3 "F's" (well maybe 4)

He always treated me like one of his own. Always a straight shooter, if you left a conversation not understanding, you were not listening. He will be missed by many, but his memory will be kept alive every time his name is mentioned.
