William Dale Kimball, "Bill", resided in Greenville, NC at Cypress Glen retirement community. He passed on Wednesday September 3rd, 2025. "Another day without snow." He was 91 years young.

A graveside service will be held at Memorial Vale Cemetery in Hysham Montana at a future date to be determined.

Bill was born in Missoula Montana to Raymond and Louise Kimball, and raised in Hysham Montana. He graduated from Hysham High School in 1952 and then attended Montana State University where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He graduated in 1956 with a degree in Nuclear Physics. He then started a successful career designing nuclear reactors for submarines and aircraft carriers. He also managed a training facility for the Navy to operate nuclear reactors during his career with Westinghouse.

While working, Bill found time to be married 6 times and have 6 children with his first two wives. He ran the Boston Marathon several times. After retiring he lived an exciting life and had many adventures, including sailing around the world alone on a 56 ft yacht when he was 70. He loved golf, dancing and walking. His usual daily hike was 8-10 miles.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Kimball and Louise Campbell Kimball; his siblings Raymond Frederick "Fred" Kimball, Jr , Marion Icopini, and Harriet Hilario; and his last spouse Colleen Brown Kimball. He is survived by his six children, Bob (Linda Balot) Kimball, Dan Kimball, Andy Kimball, Doug Kimball, Jennifer Casto, and Jonathan (Rhonda) Kimball; his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials or Donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
