William "Bill" King Jr., 80, of Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania passed on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
He was born Dec. 28, 1944, in Morgantown to the late William J., Sr. and Thelma I. King at the family home in the Chaplin neighborhood.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathy (Hoffman) King; daughter, Joselyn of Wheeling; brother, Calvin "Leroy" (Pamela) of Kingwood; and nieces and nephews, including Brian King.
Bill was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a paratrooper. He also saw service in the Dominican Republic.
He then worked more than three decades at the former Humphrey Preparation Plant as a "riverman".
Bill absolutely loved golfing and was a standout golfer. Until recent years, he golfed most every day the weather permitted. He also enjoyed watching the Mountaineers, Pirates, and Steelers.
He requested that there be no funeral services, and his family will honor that request. Burial will be at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens and has been entrusted to Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
