On September 12, 2024, William Raymond L'Hommedieu of Moore, Oklahoma passed away at the age of 83. William was born to Clarence and Anna L'Hommedieu on April 13, 1941. Both parents have preceded him in death, as well as a sister, Lillian.
Left to treasure his memory are two sons – Jeffrey L'Hommedieu and wife Karla of Norman, Oklahoma, and Brent Wells. William is also survived by his grandchildren, Kristen L'Hommedieu, Joshua L'Hommedieu and wife Cayleigh, all of Norman, and Kaelyn Squires and husband Corbin of Piedmont, Oklahoma; along with a great-grandson, Ezra L'Hommedieu, and numerous other loving family members and friends.
For much of his life, William was a hardworking guy who thrived in his career on the open road as a truck driver for Mistletoe Express, and later the Yellow Freight corporation. For the last 21 years, he spent all of his time enjoying his retirement to the absolute fullest. If he wasn't spending time out at Lake Tenkiller with his dog Jake, or riding Harleys with his best friend Mike Louderback, he was probably out hunting for the next great deal on a used car or truck.
Though there were so many things in life that made him happy, it was his family that remained his greatest source of pride and joy. As we honor his memory and say our goodbyes, let us be reminded of the lasting impact he leaves on the hearts of his family and friends, a legacy of strength, love and kindness that will forever endure. William will be dearly missed.
