William S. Lacey, 94, died August 3, 2023 at Willow Point Nursing Home.
Loving husband of Eizabeth; father of Mary (Peter) Hurley, Jim (Jen) Lacey, Karen Lacey; Cathy (Randy) Lewis; stepfather of Ken (Lenore) Raymond, Beth Raymond, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
Bill was born in Perrysburg, NY; served in the Army during the Korean War in Okinawa, Japan. Bill graduated from University of Buffalo with the GI bill and received his master's in healthcare administration from Xavier University. He worked at various NYS Psychiatric hospitals, starting as a secretary and finishing as Deputy Director of Administration at Binghamton Psychiatric Center in 1990. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills, NY Mets and a board member of the Boy Scouts NYPENN Council.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10am to 11am at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY. A Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the VFW of Vestal, NY or Boy Scouts of America in Bill's memory.
