Born May 1, 1956, in Greensburg, he was the son of the late William E. LaFlower I and Helen (Chatham) LaFlower.
Billy was a 1975 graduate of Jennings County High School and was a life-long self-employed contractor for 50 years. He enjoyed going to flea markets and antique shops and his dog, Dexter.
Billy is survived by his companion, Dan Rich of Indianapolis; sister, Annette (Floyd Morrow) Holmes of Butlerville; niece, Amanda (Tony) Vogel of Hayden; great-nieces, Abby Vogel and Haley Vogel of Hayden; and one great-nephew, Tyler Vogel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece, Nicole "Nikki" Holmes.
In keeping with his and his family's wishes, cremation is planned with no service to be held at this time. Arrangements were in care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials in honor of Billy may be made through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.

Although it seems we´ve known Billy forever, I guess it was sometime around Great Recession of 2008 when he & Danny bought house next door to our sister Abbie Bishop. Billy´s friendly "Hoosierly" ways soon made many friends in the neighborhood- he loved creating meals to share & could be found regularly out front on the porch enjoying pretty weather, like bygone more communal eras before air conditioning.
We soon became aware what a multi-talented builder Billy was, & the many beautiful spaces he has created will be enjoyed around Indiana for generations to come. We will sure miss Billy.
