William "Bill" R. Lambert, age 85, loving husband of the late Eileen (Fleming) Lambert, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Born on February 27, 1940 in Bethlehem, PA, he was a son of the late Paul L. and Ellen J. (Gangewer) Lambert. Bill was a 1958 graduate of Southern Lehigh High School, Center Valley, PA. He worked as a drafter and designer and also as a traveling freelance photographer. Bill's hobbies included photography, local history, railroads, and of course steam locomotives. He was part of a volunteer team that restored Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson #2839 back to operating condition in the late 1970s. He met Eileen Fleming while photographing a Southern RR steam special and that chance meeting led to 44 years of love and devotion. Bill and Eileen loved traveling together throughout the United States by train, often visiting many National Parks from coast to coast. Bill had a larger than life personality, never met a stranger, and lived a great life. He would likely say it was one helluva ride! Bill is survived by nephews Paul Schultze, Michael (Vickie) Schultze and grandnephew and nieces William, Kristen, Karie, and Anna Schultze. Relatives and friends are invited to attend an informal meet and greet visitation for Bill to share memories on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Burial will be held privately in the Green Meadow at Fountain Hill Cemetery, Fountain Hill, PA. Contributions in his memory may be made to Phoenixville Area Community Services (PACS), 257 Church Street. Phoenixville PA 19460. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville, PA. Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.
