William Thomas "Tom" Lampley Jr., 71, of Marion, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 1:25 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2024, at his home.
Tom was born on August 23, 1952, in Christopher to William Thomas and Peggy Joan (Thomas) Sr. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Renee Smith on November 7, 2008, in the Smokey Mountains.
Tom was a graduate of Benton High School. He was retired having worked in car sales and service. Tom loved the Lord and was a member of the Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church.
Tom enjoyed staying busy and always had a home project he was working on. He was a base guitar player and enjoyed playing gospel music. Tom also enjoyed spending time with his wife and two dogs, Abbie and Benji.
Tom is survived by his wife, Renee Lampley; three children, Marcus (Michelle) Lampley, Joseph Lampley, and Juli McKinney-Perry; two step-sons, Robert Tindall and Ryan (Jeanette) Tindall; five grandchildren, Maddy and Eli Lampley, Cody McKinney, Melody and Stacy Tindall; sister, Marilyn (Bruce) Zoller; brother, Timothy Lampley; special sister, Gloria McKlin; best friend, Jim Poole.
He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Cassandra Tindall.
A celebration of life service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Lee officiating.
Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church the day of the service.
Pyle Funeral Home is Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
