William “Bruce Lynn 59, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana, FL, with Matthew Carnes (his nephew) officiating the service. Pallbearers include Brian Carnes, Josh Carnes, Matthew Carnes, Cody Volz, Brain Mock and Kaleb Mock. Interment will follow the service in his home state of Georgia. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service begins on Friday morning.
Bruce was born on Thursday, July 8, 1965 in Bainbridge, GA. He was the son of the late Lloyd (Toby) Lynn, and the late Mavis Parker Lynn. Bruce attended Bainbridge High School, he finishing his high school studies in 1983 He was a contract U.S. Mail Carrier for most of his working life. He loved his job, and all the people associate with it. He was also part time funeral associate at Faith Funeral Home & Crematory. He really enjoyed working at the funeral home, he had the ability to comfort many families members. He was part of our family here at the funeral home from his first day he came to work with us. Bruce was compassionate and care deeply about people. His biggest pride and joy was Kristy and her boys. He loved the role he played as Papa.
Bruce is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kristy Mock (her husband Brian) of Tallahassee, FL; His sister Theresa Carnes (husband Brian) of Bainbridge, GA; and his brother Lloyd Lynn of Marianna, FL; his precious grandsons Bryce A. Mock, Brody A. Mock and Brees A. Mock all of Tallahassee. His nephews Josh and Matthew Carnes and Travis and Trent Lynn; Also the mother of his daughter Tammy Fitch-Norman.
