William “Bill” Stewart Lynn, of Elcho, WI passed away January 23, 2026, at his home under the care of LeRoyer Hospice and his wife.
Bill was born on March 1, 1952, in Springfield, IL to William Herman and Mary Lou (Stewart) Lynn.
Bill received his undergraduate degree from MacMurry College and his MBA from Northwestern University. He had a career in finance and went on to serve as the Assistant Treasurer at Montgomery Ward.
On January 10, 1976, Bill was united in marriage to Joanna Guyton in Wilmette, IL.
The couple began visiting and enjoying time at Post Lake, WI in 1990. They purchased their lake home there in 1991, making it their permanent home in 2021.
Bill was an avid car enthusiast and was passionate about restoring Triumphs. He was on the Board of The Vintage Triumph Register for two decades and was an invaluable resource for enthusiasts seeking to restore their TR2 and early TR3 vehicles to original specifications. This hobby was something enjoyed by him along with his family and friends.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Joanna, include a daughter Kristina Lynn (Adam Robbins) of Chicago, a son Bradley (Cassie) Lynn of Hartford, his grandchildren Isaac, Emily and Haley, siblings: Susan (Jim) Powell, Susan (Sean) Hunter, Thomas Lynn, Joshua (Kate) Lynn, Melanie ReVeal, Jim (Colette) ReVeal, and John (Linda) ReVeal.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes no formal service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Elcho Area Community Food Pantry, P.O. Box 404, Elcho, WI 54428.
