William Vincent Magee

William “Bill” Vincent Magee, age 88, of Aiken, SC passed away October 11, 2020 in Augusta, GA.

Bill is survived by his wife Rebecca Magee of Aiken, SC, his children Kathleen Georges Dieker, John Magee, James Magee, Joseph Magee and many grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons William Magee, Jr. and Robert Magee and his first wife Maria. 

Bill was born in Staten Island, NY to the late Mildred and John Magee August 23, 1932. After joining the United States Navy he became an Aviation Electrician. He went on to attend Wagner College where he earned his Bachelors degree in chemistry. 

He was employed by Best Foods, known today as Unilever, as chief chemist of all the best food plants. After being transferred to Best Foods World Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ he was promoted to “Director of Manufacturing and Engineering”

Bill accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was an active member of Millbrook Baptist Church, in Aiken, SC. He was a loving, kind and wonderful husband who had a servants heart as he always welcomed an opportunity to help others!

Upon awaking each morning he would come into the kitchen smiling, full of joy and say,,, “Here I Am”

He loved the lord, his wife, his children and all five of his Boston terriers, Heidi, Gretchen, Kelsey, Jackson and Spencer!

Family and friends are invited to attend the Interment Service Monday November 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, where Dr. Michael Simmons, senior pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church will officiate.
