William Magers Obituary
William L. "Bill" Magers, born on September 21, 1956, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, passed away tragically on November 7, 2025, at the age of 69. Bill's life was marked by his dedication to family, his passion for mechanics, and his love for the simple joys of life.
Bill spent his career as a skilled mechanic with Warwood Armature, where he worked diligently and earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His expertise and commitment to his craft were evident in every project he undertook, whether at work or in his own garage, where he loved tinkering with his collection of old cars and trucks.
A devoted fan of the Steelers, Bill enjoyed spending his Sundays cheering for his favorite team. He also found great joy in mowing his lawn on his tractor, a task that brought him peace and satisfaction. Above all, Bill cherished his role as "Pappy" to his beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Colton, who were the light of his life.
Bill shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with his high school sweetheart, Mary Sue (Voltz) Magers whom he met in band. Their enduring love and partnership were an inspiration to all who knew them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia (Curtis) Magers. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his loving children, Jason Magers and Amy (Josh Bogard) Magers; his cherished grandchildren, Tyler and Colton Criado; his dear sisters, Debra Magers and Mimi (Richard) Logston, beloved fur-babies, Wilma the dog and 6 cats, as well as numerous friends who have been a great support to Bill's family during this time.
In lieu of public services, the family invites those who wish to honor Bill's memory to make a donation to the Marshall County Animal Shelter, a cause close to his heart.
