William Raymond Mahoney, 96, of Hamilton Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025.
Born on December 11, 1928, in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late John Mahoney and Mary (Bartlett) Mahoney. Bill lived in Hamilton Township since childhood, where he built a lifetime of family, friendship, and community.
He proudly served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After his service, Bill worked for several local businesses before finding his calling as an entertainment manager and promoter, managing his sons' band for more than 30 years.
A lifelong baseball fan, Bill spent a decade coaching in Nottingham Little League and was an avid competitive bowler. In his late 30s, he discovered a passion for long-distance running, completing two marathons.
Bill married the love of his life, Lois Emily (Green) Mahoney, in 1950. The two shared 77 years together as a couple before Lois's passing on October 10. Bill followed her four days later, a true testament to their enduring bond. They would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on November 4.
He is survived by his children, William (Mary) Mahoney, Tim (Barbara) Mahoney, Brian Mahoney, and Michael (Tara) Mahoney; grandchildren, Maura (Kevin) Joyce, Taryn (Steve) DiSorbo, Christopher (Jackie) LeFevre, Timothy (Victoria) Mahoney, Keira Mahoney, Cathryn (Mike) White, Elizabeth (Tim) Fitzgerald, Meghan (Brandon) Gilkes, and Sean (Darien) Mahoney; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Mahoney and his sister, Helen Elgrim.
Bill will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose home was always filled with laughter, music, and love. His legacy of devotion, humor, and heart will live on through the generations he helped shape.
Interment will be held privately.
Visitation for family and friends to honor Mr. and Mrs. Mahoney will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with Funeral Services directly following, at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
