William Henry Margrave IV July 8, 1937 – August 1, 2024, It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Henry Margrave IV, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, who left this world on August 1, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on July 8, 1937, William, affectionately known as "Bill," was a beacon of light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bill's life was characterized by a deep and abiding love for the arts, particularly music, singing, and community theater, which he embraced with passion and dedication. He was also deeply involved as a 32nd Degree Freemason and a Senior Olympic Athlete. Bill held a cherished place in the hearts of his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Lois, who preceded him in Heaven just six months prior to his passing. Bill and Lois shared a love that was both tender and steadfast. Their journey together was filled with laughter, shared dreams, and a commitment that inspired all who witnessed it. As a father, Bill was a guiding light, offering support and encouragement to his children-William V (Kelly), Phillip (Kimberly), and Jennifer. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and delighted in their joys, always the first to celebrate their milestones. As a grandfather to Katie (Matt), Jamie (Steve), William VI (Alex), Alexa, Maxwell (Libby), Mason, Bailey, and Ben, his grandchildren were the apples of his eye. He filled their lives with stories, songs, and endless laughter, creating cherished memories that will forever resonate in their hearts. Grandpa had an unparalleled ability to make each one of them feel special, nurturing their creativity and encouraging them to dream big. Bill was not only a loving grandfather but also a doting great-grandfather to seven wonderful great-grandchildren: William VII, Maxine, Domino, Maggie, Molly, Walter, and Margot, who brought him immense joy and pride. Each one of them held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. From playful afternoons filled with storytelling and sing-alongs to getting down on the floor and playing with their toys, he created a treasure trove of memories that they will carry with them for a lifetime. Bill was a kind and compassionate soul whose generosity knew no limits. He had a unique gift for making those around him feel valued and loved, often going out of his way to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. His warmth and laughter will be sorely missed, but his legacy of love will endure through the lives he touched. As we gather to celebrate the life of William Henry Margrave IV, we remember a man whose spirit soared on the wings of music and whose heart was a sanctuary for those he loved. He leaves behind an enduring legacy of love, creativity, and kindness that will forever echo in the hearts of all who love him.
