EAST SCHODACK - Bill "Buddy" Masters, 65, of East Schodack passed away on February 11, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Albany, he was the son of Beverly J. (Moss) Masters, and the late William F. Masters. Bill was employed as a maintenance technician for the former Time Warner Cable Co. for 30 plus years, prior to his retirement.
Bill enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, was a die-hard N.Y. Giants fan and a fan of NASCAR. He also enjoyed the companionship of many beloved dogs.
He was a longtime member of the East Schodack Fire Company.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly Masters-Fallon; sons, William P. (Katrina) Masters, and Cody (Jennifer) Masters; his guardian angel since 1996, Gwynne Leibensperger; and his siblings, Kelly (David) Krebs, Shawn (Carol) Masters, Colleen Masters, and Connie (Norman) Stahlman. Bill became like a dad to Gwynne's children, Joshua Mulready, Alethea Spaulding, and Atticus Mulready. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16, at 7 p.m., at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Buddy's family prior to the service from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, N.Y. 12204.
A celebration of Buddy's life will be held Sunday, March 15, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the East Schodack Fire House, located at 3071 Rt. 150 East Schodack, 12063.
