Loving son of the late William and Albina Mayer. Brother of the late Barbara and John (Carol) Mayer. He was united in marriage to Arlene on June 8, 1957. Loving father of William (Laura) Mayer, Robert (Andree) Mayer, Dawn Mayer, Sharon (Walt) Kangail and Lisa (Robert) Coyne. Dear grandfather of Kurt (Aneta) Mayer, Kyle (Ariel) Mayer, Nicholas (Nichole) Mayer, Ryan Mayer, Annaliese Mayer, Stephanie Kangail, Daniel Kangail, Samantha Coyne, Michael Coyne and Robert Coyne. Dear great grandfather of Stella Mayer, Scarlette Mayer, Grant Mayer and Baby DeCoste. Best doggy dad of Georgia.
Funeral visitation Monday, October 20, 2025 from 4 to 8 PM at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. He will lie in state Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 West Palatine Road, Inverness, IL.
