William Dale McElroy was born on October 27, 1948, in Woodbury, TN. He served in the Vietnam War.
William Dale McElroy is survived by his wife, Thelma McElroy, his son Jeff McElroy and daughter-in-law Monica, his daughter Melissa Sparks and son-in-law Todd Sparks, his daughter Becky Gregory and son-in-law Barry Gregory, as well as his grandchildren Avery Sparks, Sophie Sparks, Parker Sparks, Cameron Potts, and Alyssa Gunn. He is also survived by his brother Carl McElroy and sister-in-law Betty McElroy. Preceding him in death were his father William McElroy, mother Jessi Lyon McElroy, and brother Gene McElroy. He is also survived by his cats, Sweet Pea and Blue.
