William McGinness Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home on Dec. 13, 2025.
William T. McGinness, Jr., 72, of Westville, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Loving father of William (Melissa) McGinness III, Brian (Flower) McGinness, and Eva (Jason) Amendolia. Stepfather of Genavieve Foyle (Randy) and the late Michael Foyle (Danielle Verano). Dear brother of Helen, Marion, Charlotte, Elaine, Bobby, Michael, George, the late Veronica, the late Violet, the late Tony, the late John, and the late Dennis. Loving grandfather of Griffin, Paige, Lacey, Vito, Alora, Arlo, and step grandfather to Annabella, Michayla, Michael and Alaina. William, known as Bill, was the oldest boy of thirteen children from his parents, the late William T. McGinness Sr. and the late Veronica (Logan) McGinness.

Bill grew up down the "crick" and spent much of his life in the Westville area. In Bill's early parenting years, he coached Westville T-ball, Barrington soccer, and Bellmawr hockey for his sons and took pride in that. When he had the opportunity to be with his kids, he would smile and refer to them as "his pride and joy." He worked for Rohm and Haas, Woodbury School Board, and did brick laying and ceramic tile, amongst other jobs throughout his life. Bill had a green thumb and always enjoyed being outside and working in the garden. In his later years, he retired from Cousin's Garden Center, in Mantua. During these years and until his passing, he loved watching sports, listening to music, and tailgating with his sons. Bill was an early riser, a hard worker, and a kind soul; he will be forever missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 20th from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Hope Christian Fellowship Church, 246 Kings St. Woodbury, NJ 08096.
