Angier, NC: Mr. William Edward McLamb, age 80, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Friendship Baptist Church 416 Greenleaf Road, Angier, NC 27501. Rev. Freddie Wayne Langston, Rev. Jeff Morgan, and Rev. Doug Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. 

Mr. McLamb was born on February 3, 1944 in Johnston County, NC to the late Nathan Willie and Lillie Pearl Lee McLamb. Alongside his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior McLamb and Hoot McLamb, and step-father, Tyson Hargis. Mr. McLamb retired from sheetrock, and owned Crossroads Auto Sales and Car Wash. He loved Jesus, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Louise West McLamb; children, Shelia McLamb of McGee’s Crossroads, NC, Cindy Ellis of Angier, NC, Sheila Carroll of Willow Spring, NC, and Johnny Young of McGee’s Crossroads, NC; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, brothers, Leon McLamb of Dunn, NC, Maylon McLamb of Benson, NC and Thurman McLamb of Angier, NC; many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Monday, August 5, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC, and other times at the home. 

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers. 

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice House PO Box 1346, Smithfield, NC 27577.
