William Mekel Obituary

Bill was the son of long time Warminster residents, Jack & Phyllis Mekel, brother of Laureen Gallagher of Doylestown, Robert Mekel (Margaret) of Line Lexington and James Mekel of Harleysville. He was uncle to Amy Maupay, William Gallagher, Robert Mekel, Ryan Mekel, Greg Mekel and Douglas Mekel. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family assisting them and neighbors with various projects and gardening. He was hard working and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Bill was employed by North Penn School District in the facilities department.
Bill lived life to the fullest and was an avid concert goer. He was a devoted fan of the bands Pink Floyd, Rush and Yes among other music groups. He was a rocker and loved to share his music with others. Recently he was learning to play guitar. Bill also loved watching the Eagles and Phillies games. He lived a simple life, enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, shooting pool and watching Jeopardy.
A special celebration of life will be held at Bill's sister's home for those friends and family who want to share stories, pictures and music at 2 pm on Saturday, September 13th.

We went to the best concert ever! Pink Floyd the Wall in 1980 in New York City.
We took a bus full of Pink Floyd fans it was epic! We continued to see almost every Floyd /Roger Waters show every time they came around Great times great memories

I´m really going to miss our friendship after almost 10 years. You were always such a great listener, and I looked forward to our weekly conversations. You had a way of bringing just the right amount of mischief into every moment- with that smile letting me know you were up to something! Thank you for being such a steady and genuine friend.
