William David Miller, 82, of Mill Hall passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 surrounded by family.
Born November 16, 1942 in Tyrone, he was a son of the late Reed and Janet (Rossman) Miller.
Bill was a 1961 graduate of Tyrone High School
He was a Veteran of the United State Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War as a fireman, often performing helicopter rescue missions.
In 1964, Bill married the former Karen E. Pine, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.
Bill attended Williamsport Area Community College, learning the trade of welding. He was a 50 year member of the Local 520 Steamfitters and Plumbers Union, Harrisburg, where he worked alongside his brother, Jim.
He was an active member of Lock Haven VFW Post 1630 as well as a member of Castanea Fire Hall and Sons of Italy.
For many years, Bill was an active participant in Clinton and Centre Counties' Dart League.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved nothing more than spending time at camp with his family and friends.
When it came to sports, Bill could be found rooting on the Oakland Raiders and New York Yankees.
Throughout the years, he enjoyed raising many Doberman-Pinschers.
In addition to his wife, Karen Miller of Mill Hall, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ken Miller of Avis; brother, James (Kathleen) Miller of Avis; sister, Cheryl (James) Boring of Florida; brother-in-law, Warren (Joan) Pine of Duncansville; grandson, Seth (Devon) Miller of Jersey Shore; great grandson, Finnley Miller of Jersey Shore; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Reeder.
A private Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at the convenience of his family.
