William Earl Miller Jr., known affectionately as Bill to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Born on March 1, 1937, in Columbus, Indiana, to the late William Earl Miller Sr. and Helen (Beattie) Miller, Bill's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his community.
Bill's journey through life was marked by his loving partnership with his wife, Ronda (Robison) Miller. Together, they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories. He was a devoted father to his children, Molly (Dan) Persigehl, Andrew (Teresa) Miller, and step-daughter Dawn Timmons. His role as a grandfather to his four grandchildren was one he embraced with all the love and enthusiasm that characterized his entire life.
A proud alumnus of Indiana University, Bill earned his bachelor's degree before embarking on a successful career as the owner of Miller Financial. His professional achievements were numerous, and he was highly respected by his colleagues and clients alike. Bill's commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of his work, and his integrity was the cornerstone of his business.
Beyond his professional life, Bill was deeply involved in his community. He was a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Elkhart, the Elcona Country Club, and a devout participant in the men's prayer group at the First Presbyterian Church in Elkhart. His commitment to service was further demonstrated by his membership in the Million Dollar Round Table, his status as a Level 3 Masonic Lodge member, and his active involvement with the Shriners Hospital.
Bill's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. An avid golfer, he could often be found on the greens, perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. His love for Indiana University sports was unwavering, and he rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the IU basketball and football teams. Bill's adventurous spirit shone through in his love for riding his Harley on Route 66, attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and embracing the freedom of the open road.
Above all, Bill cherished the time spent with his family. He loved his wife dearly and was a constant source of strength, support, and love for all who knew him. His legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and a life well-lived.
Keeping with Bill's wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left to Millers Vets 747 S Michigan St, South Bend, IN 46601.
