William Trent Miller, 78, was born on June 11, 1947, in Lansing, NC, to the late Cleo and Ethel Miller. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on July 31, 2025. Trent, as he was known, was predeceased by his siblings Robert, Emery, Tony, and Betty. He is survived by his brother Garney and his sisters Goldie, Marie, and Brenda.
Trent is also survived by his four children: William Trent Jr. (Michele) and Randy (Christina) of Missouri, and Timothy (Michele) and Victoria Miller of Pennsylvania. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Tony (Cassie), Katrina, Stacey, Randy (Kylie), Dakota (Maddie), Brayden (Aubriana), Lindsey, Gabriel (Shayla), Lily, Katelyn (Matthew), Timothy (Stephanie), and Alexis. He also leaves behind six great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
Trent began working at the age of 14. At 17, he met Virginia Cannon, whom he married in 1966. They shared their lives together until her passing in 2018. For seven years, Trent yearned to be with his "Ginny." Because they both accepted the Lord, they will be reunited in Heaven, worshipping together.
Trent understood the importance of faith and raised his children in the church, hoping they would choose the same path. After his children started families of their own, Trent embraced adventure and bought himself a Harley Davidson. He could often be seen riding his motorcycle, wearing his black leather jacket, jeans, and a t-shirt, grinning from ear to ear.
Trent will be dearly missed by family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy that lives on in his children and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday August 5, 2025 at 1pm at Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Ave, Wilmington, DE, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife.
