William J. Miller Jr., affectionately known as Billy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 66 in
Holmdel, New Jersey. Born on August 26, 1959, in
Elizabeth, NJ, Billy grew up in Middletown and later settled in Hazlet in 2000, where he spent the remainder of his fulfilling life.
Billy's early years were marked by the deep bonds he formed with his family, particularly his twin brother, Daniel Miller, who predeceased him in 2023, and his sister, Gina Marie Miller. He was the cherished son of William Sr. and Jean Miller, both of whom had passed before him. Bill's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife of 41 years, Theresa (Drakakis) Miller. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect.
Billy's family circle extended to his in-laws, who held a special place in his heart. He is survived by his brothers-in-law, Anthony (Ellen) Drakakis of NY, Peter (Rosie) Drakakis of NY, and Bobby Drakakis of Totowa. Billy was a cherished uncle to his two nieces and four nephews, all of whom he adored and shared many joyful moments with throughout the years.
Billy's life was one of dedication and service. In 1982, he entered the US Navy, serving his country with honor and pride. Professionally, Billy was a dedicated office manager at Barnes and Noble, where he retired after 20 years of service. His colleagues knew him as a reliable and friendly presence, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. Billy's commitment to his work was paralleled only by his commitment to his loved ones and the community he was so deeply a part of.
Outside of work, Billy had a passion for the simple pleasures in life. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solace in the tranquility of nature. His love for movies was renowned among his friends and family, as he was always up-to-date on the latest releases. In his younger years, Billy and his wife, Theresa, shared a love for music and often reminisced about the concerts they attended together, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Billy's life was one of warmth, laughter, and unwavering kindness. He had a way of making everyone around him feel special and valued. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
As we say farewell to William J. Miller Jr., we celebrate the remarkable man he was and the countless lives he touched. His memory will be cherished and preserved in the stories we share and the love we carry forward. Billy's journey through life was a testament to the power of family, friendship, and the joy of every shared moment. Rest in peace, dear Billy. Your legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will never be forgotten.
