William Mitcham

William (Billy, Bypass) Mitcham, Sr. 68, passed away suddenly in Houston, December 6, 2024. Billy was born August 17, 1956, to Robert III and Ruth Mitcham in Galveston, Texas. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1975 and did various jobs after. Billy obtained his Journeyman Plumbing License in 1987 and worked for HISD for the last 12 1/2 years. He was a dedicated hard-working man and would do anything for anyone. When he wasn't working or fixing lawnmowers, etc. his passion was his family and cook - offs as Chief Cook of Boss Hogg Cookers.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Robert, Warren (twin) and Charles; nephew Paul and other family members. Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 51 years Judy; sons, Billy Jr (Mary), Charlie (Diane), Michael (Iesha/Joy) and Joey (Christy). Grandchildren; Chris, Faith, Harley, Morgan, Taeghen, Khyla, Jaden, Xzavain, Miyah, and Kaiden. Great-grandchildren; Skyla, Michael, Sadie, Sophia and ? Sisters Sharon Weatherly, Debra Briseno (Rudy). Brother, David (Theresa).
Pallbearers are Charlie and Joey, Joey Lain, Gerald Verdun, Mario Avila and Adam Izaguirre. Honorary Pallbearers; Billy, Jr., Michael, Taeghen, Mike Bianchi, Dave Hall and HISD Co-workers.
