William "Bill" Molloy passed away on June 30, 2022, at the age of 71. His battle with various health issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Bill remained strong until the end.
Born and raised in Tenafly, New Jersey, where he attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and later graduated from Saint Joseph's Regional High School before getting his bachelor's degree from Southern New Hampshire University, where he met many lifelong friends.
Bill was a kind and devoted partner to his wife Deirdre, as well as a loving father to their daughter's, Ryan and Erin, and an adoring grandfather to his two grandchildren, Charlie and Sonny. Bill took pride in his Irish heritage and jokingly referred to his stubborn demeanor as his "Luck of the Irish." His passion for sports and honest debate will always be appreciated. He always enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and had a wholesome optimism even in the hardest of times. There was nothing more enjoyable than a beautiful summer day at the pool with friends and family by his side, and a good book in hand. Bill returned back home on one of the best days the summer of 2022 has seen.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation at Barrett Leber Funeral Home on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 9 AM - 10:30 AM with a funeral service to begin at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.
