William Moore Obituary

William "Bucky" G. Moore III, 80, of Washington, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, in UPMC Washington. Bucky was born in McKeesport September 14, 1945, the son of the late William Moore II and Thelma Worthy Moore. He graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School and went on to spend his life working in sales, recently retiring from Cabela's Gun Library. From a young age, Bucky was instilled with a tremendous work ethic, always helping wherever needed. Bucky thoroughly enjoyed outdoor activities and nature. Whether it was a pet or deer that wandered into his backyard, he made sure they were well fed. Bucky was a sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially skeet shooting. He was a member of the California Hill Gun Club. He was also a Master Mason. On February 1, 1991, he married Agnes "Aggie" Slaven Moore, who survives, and together they shared 35 wonderful years of marriage. Also surviving are a brother, Bruce (Christina) Moore of New York, N.Y.; six children: Chris (Kristina) Moore of St. Paul, Minn.; Todd (Joscelyn) Moore of Leominster, Mass.; Tracy (Kenny) Wood of Holderness, N.H.; Sandra (Tom) Slaven Johnston; Ronald (Valerie) V. Slaven, and Michael (Laurie Dean) J. Slaven; and 14 grandchildren. Friends and family will be received from 1 until the time of a funeral service at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 7, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Bucky's name, to the Humane Society.
