William R. Mowery, 59, of Lancaster, passed away on July 22, 2025 at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Roy W. Mowery, Jr. and Wanda (Shoffstall) Mowery.
After graduating from high school, Bill went on to study at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
He was the co-owner of Color Tile Flooring before the business was sold.
In his spare time, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, listening to music, bowling, cheering for his Philadelphia Eagles and playing sports during his youth.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Katlyn M. Cole. Also surviving are Cindy Mowery Roberts (sister) and Harry “Hank” Roberts (nephew).In addition to his father, he was predeceased by Harry Roberts (brother-in-law).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 1086 Hilldale Rd, Holtwood, PA 17532 on Thursday August 21st at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to: Bethesda United Methodist Church at the address listed above or to Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
