William "Bill" Howard Mullins, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on August 17, 1929, in Corbin, Kentucky, to the late Richard and Velva (nee Smith) Mullins. Bill lived a remarkable life distinguished by his dedication to his family and service to others.

Bill was the beloved husband of Ilene Mullins (nee Eaton), with whom he shared 27 wonderful years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his late wife of 47 years and mother to their children, Von Mullins (nee Rogers). Loving father of Rick (Rose) Mullins, Dave (Amy) Mullins, Tina (Barry) Smith, and the late Jerry (surviving wife Rocky) Mullins; Step-father of Donna Taylor and Darlene Taylor; Dear grandpa of Liam Mullins, Jesse (Stefanie) Mullins, Brian Mullins, Diane (Joe) Hammer, Ashley (Darrick) Hayes, Erica (Jamie) Rehm, and Christina (Zack) Hoppes; Great-grandfather of Asher, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Clara, Mack, Crosley, Lillian, Piper, Cora, Oliver, and Matilda; Dear brother of Peggy Sue Walker. Cherished step-grandfather of Josh Williams, Jessica Laino, Amanda West, Kimberly Beebe, Matt Davis and 5 step-great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, wife Von, and son Jerry, Bill is preceded in death by his siblings Jerry Lee Mullins, June Skeen, and Betty Jean Smith.

A 1947 graduate of Oak Ridge High School in Tennessee, Bill began his career at the Baldwin Piano Company before dedicating 24 years of service as a supervisor at the Ford Motor Company. In both his personal and professional life, he exemplified the qualities of hard work and commitment, constantly striving to provide his family with everything he never had.

Bill was an extraordinary man with a myriad of passions. An avid woodworker, he spent countless hours carving and whittling, letting his creativity flow through each piece he crafted. A jack of all trades, he had a remarkable ability to fix anything, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was also an enthusiastic member of the Monterey Baptist Church since the 1970's, where he served as a trustee for many years, demonstrating his unwavering faith and commitment to his community.

Bill enjoyed playing the harmonica, whether it be at home or playing hymns in church. He loved spending time in nature fishing or hunting. He found joy in riding his Gold Wing motorcycle, embracing every adventure that life had to offer. With a playful spirit, he was a jokester who brought laughter to those around him, known for his bone-crushing hugs and his ability to make friends wherever he went. Bill moved and spoke with purpose, embodying a spirit of integrity and zest for life.

Bill's family and friends will gather to honor his remarkable life at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
