William Murray Jr., 65, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late William Murray Sr. and Antoinette (Neri) Murray, and brother of the late Edward Murray.
He leaves behind his loving daughters, Brandi and Kylie Murray of North Providence, who were the greatest joy of his life. He is also survived by his former wife, Magda Murray of North Providence; his sisters Barbara Langlois and her husband Jim of Burrillville, Carol Dionisopoulos and her husband George of Smithfield, and Jean Murray of Providence; as well as his ten nieces and nephews, many cousins, and numerous dear friends.
Bill was a graduate of Classical High School and went on to earn both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Bryant University. He dedicated more than 40 years of service to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island, where he was a respected and valued employee.
A passionate sports fan, Bill loved following all of the New England professional sports teams and was a devoted supporter of Notre Dame Football. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his daughters, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Interment will be held privately at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
