William "Bill" Lee Page was born April 8, 1928 to Dovie (Sewell) and William David Page in Love County, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on January 30, 2022 at the age of 93.
Bill graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1946. After graduation he went to work for Ardmore Plumbing Supply until he enlisted in the Army. After leaving active duty and joining the reserves, he attended Oklahoma A & M. This is where he met and married his wife of 67 years, Jean Raper, on October 16, 1954 at the First Baptist Church, Stillwater. Bill and Jean moved to Ardmore in 1954 where he became co-owner of Ardmore Plumbing Supply until his retirement. They had one daughter, Terri.
Bill sat on the Board of Southern Oklahoma Water Corporation for 41 years, serving in multiple capacities. He was a great husband to Jean and often helped her over the years with projects ranging from hosting YWCA Teen Town to the Carter County Fair, the Arts and Crafts Festival and the annual Christmas Parade.
Bill loved spending time at Lake Murray boating and doing water sports. He even built his own dock there with his good friend David Wilson back when you were allowed to do so. He also had a love for cars and spent many days at the drag races both racing and as a spectator. He had many motorcycles through the years and enjoyed riding with family and friends. Bill loved watching sports, especially the OSU Cowboys and Cowgirls.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents William and Dovie Page; brothers Omar and Carlos Page; and sister Chloe Heidrich.
He is survived by his wife Jean of the home; daughter Terri Keuchel and her husband Dr. David of Stillwater; brothers Weldon Page and his wife Anne of Georgia, Charles Page and his wife Erma of California, Kenneth Page and his wife Natha of Ardmore, and sister Linda Brown and her husband Ron of Ardmore; grandchildren Dr. Mark Keuchel and his wife Azure of Oklahoma City and Jennifer Young and her husband Kahle of Oklahoma City; and great grandchildren Kirby and Ellie Keuchel and Elizabeth Young.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Bill's neighbor Lynn Jones for the help he has given the last few years.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 4th at 2:00 p.m at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Claude Williams officiating.
