William Palmer

Bill Palmer was born on July 17, 1962, to Forrest and Jeanne (Freer) Palmer. A cherished father, brother, and friend. He passed away on February 1, 2026, in Rochester, NY, at the age of 63.

He is survived by his daughter, Colette; his two grandchildren, Addie and Vinny; and his siblings, Laurie, Ken, and Matt.

Bill faced many struggles in life with courage and tenacity. In addition to his family, he had a couple of exceptionally close friends who were there to support and encourage him when the waters of life were difficult to navigate, helping him keep his head above water. As part of their family, he was affectionately known as "Slim."

Bill very much enjoyed a good cup of coffee, the peacefulness of a long walk, and meaningful conversations with close friends.

He grew up with a natural affinity for understanding how things worked. This passion led him to Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC), where he studied Computer Science. For years, he was the go-to person for anyone having problems with their computer, finding genuine joy in troubleshooting and "fixing the unfixable." It wasn't uncommon for Bill to receive a call asking for guidance on how to fix a computer.

As his life progressed, Bill's talents shifted from digital to structural. He spent much of his later years remodeling and building houses.

He was surrounded by loved ones during his final moments on earth.
