William Parker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory - Moundsville on Dec. 9, 2025.
Greater Love Hath No Man

It is with deep sorrow that we announce William H. "Bill" Parker of Moundsville WV has been laid to rest. Bill was a hardworking man who loved nothing more than his family. He met his beautiful wife, Tracy when they were just teenagers. They became young parents and married as soon as they could! Their marriage has truly stood the test of time.

He was born on October 23, 1967 in Bellaire, Ohio; the son of the late William E. and Nora C. VanPelt Parker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Bridget Offerd.

Bill is survived by his five loving children, Justin Parker, Alicia (Mark) Parker, Kenneth Parker, Nicholas (fiancée, Shelby Holmes) Parker and Christian (fiancé, David Solomon) Parker; four adorable grandchildren, Kendall Parker, Parker Kandis, Anikin Kandis, and Greenly Parker; two sisters, Donna Roth and Margaret Duncan; and two step-grandchildren, Markia and Marley Parker.

Bill was a manager at Big Lots furniture for many years and held various jobs as a mechanic. Later, he was overjoyed to get hired to work for the railroad. He took great pride in his work and often did odd jobs for the elderly. He enjoyed these relationships so much and he brought much joy to those who were living lonely lives. He was a jack of all trades and kept busy doing yard work along with home and car repairs. If u need anything done…Bill was your guy!!

Bill had several hobbies and stayed active! He loved to hunt and fish. He was also a collector of old and unusual things! He got great joy from showing off his finds! He also was a great cook and truly loved feeding his family! He loved to share his art with his family and was an avid drawer and painter. Bill had a laugh that was contagious and was always joking. He also had a strength unlike most...if u needed a shoulder to lean on, he had that too!! His presence is terribly missed.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm and Wednesday from 12noon until the time of service at 1pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville,

Interment to follow in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
