Robert John Huggins

Robert John Huggins, 76, of Moundsville, WV, passed away December 9, 2025 at Liza's Place in Wheeling WV.

He was born in Glen Dale, WV, on February 2, 1949; the son of the late Robert Cecil Huggins and Marguerite (Hall) Huggins Karr.

Robert graduated in 1968 from Sherrard High School and was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church.

He was a former employee for Marx Toy Plant and Fostoria Glass. Robert worked as a longwall foreman at McElroy Mine for 12 and a half years until 1983, then retired in 1985 as a Long Haul Truck Driver for Pony Trucking, Inc.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ollie Charles Huggins; step-father, Eugene Karr; grandparents, John and Nancy Huggins and Charles and Hallie Hall; an aunt and several uncles.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lois (Braun) Huggins of Moundsville, WV; step-daughter, Heather (Chad) Markonich of Glen Dale, WV; three sisters, Grace (Carey) Gonzales of Aster, FL, Sandra Otte of Wheeling, WV, and Betty (John) Workman of Moundsville, WV; one son, Robert Huggins II of Parker, CO: four grandchildren, Mason and Alivia Markonich of Glen Dale, WV, Haley Huggins of Florida and Ashley Huggins of Colorado; three great-grandchildren, Lyanna, Myrcella and Visenya; brother-in-law, Joel (Camille) Braun.

Private services will be held at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave. Moundsville, WV.

Private Entombment at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, WV.
