William Cardell Perdue, Jr.,72, passed away suddenly on January 14, 2026, at his Charleston, WV, residence.

He was born in Charleston on January 26, 1953, to the late William Cardell Perdue and Rosalie Virginia (Slater) Perdue. At a very young age, Bill's family moved to Nellis, WV. Following high school, Bill joined the U.S. Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War. Upon receiving his honorable discharge, he began working as a crew member on oil rigs, which lead to many moves throughout his lifetime, including Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico to name of few of the states that he lived and worked in. After retirement, he and his wife, Jackie, moved to Columbus, OH. After her passing, he moved to Charleston to be near his family..

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Perdue, and his sister, Lynn (Williams) Monday.

Bill is survived by his brother, Ronald Williams of Charleston; cousin, Tom Harper of Charleston, and close friends, Dennis Combs and Jim Townsend, both of Ohio.

He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
