Hazel Ann Greenman Perdue, 79, of Chesapeake, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026. She was born in Ohio to Aileen Adelle Morgan and Allyn Edward Greenman.

Hazel had a remarkable creative spirit. She was especially talented at making porcelain dolls, restoring and repurposing old furniture, and she had a keen eye for cranberry glass. Her creativity was matched only by her generosity and kindness.

In 2010, Hazel welcomed her beloved grandson, Joey, into the world. From that moment on, she devoted herself to making sure he always knew just how special and deeply loved he was.

Hazel is survived by her son, Larry; daughter-in-law, Sharyn; and grandson, Joey Lynch; her brother, Mick Greenman of Knox County, Illinois; and her nephew, Paul. Her passing will also be deeply felt by many friends and former co-workers from her years with the Virginia Beach Federal School Credit Union, Charlie Falk Motors, Grand and Ashley Furniture.

At this time, no services have been planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Hazel's memory to the NICU Friends Circle of The King's Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, VA 23507. Or you can use this link and choose Memorial Donation: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/generalrestricteddonations
